HS Sprenger Stirrup 4-System

The HS Sprenger articulated stirrups 4 system have a forward and backward moving tread surface that automatically moves the rider’s heel to the desired low position. In case of a fall, the rider can get out of this stirrup much easier than with normal stirrups. The joint allows the tread surface to adapt to the rider’s springy foot movement, so that there is constant contact with the sole. The result is a good grip and relaxed calves, which is why the System 4 stirrups are very popular with show jumping and military riders. However, it is also increasingly used by dressage riders.
